The possibilities are endless for this easy Crofter’s salsa recipe. Enjoy this Mango Salsa on top of fish tacos, pan fried or baked fish, next to barbecued chicken breast or chicken legs, or even seafoods like crab or lobster. Or, you can just eat it with your favorite tortilla chips. Either way, this snack recipe is incredibly delicious and dangerously addicting (fair warning)! You’re not really living until you’ve created your own homemade salsa masterpiece. Making your own salsas can be really fun because you have full control of the ingredients and how much of each you put in. Don’t like how spicy a recipe is? Simply use less of the spicy/hot ingredients or replace them with a less spicy substitute or use other ingredients to take its place. We found the level of heat on this delicious Mango Salsa recipe to be just right, but you can be the judge of that!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Jar Crofter’s Mango Premium Spread

  • 2 Mangoes (Diced)

  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper (Finely Minced)

  • 1 Red Bell Pepper (Chopped)

  • 2 Green Onions (Chopped)

  • Lime juice (to taste)

  • 1 tsp. Dried Oregano

  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh Cilantro (Chopped)

  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)

Directions

  1. Begin by preparing all of the veggies and fruits that need to be cut. Cut the Mango into small chunks first and place in a medium sized bowl. Next cut the jalapeño and the red bell pepper into similar sized chunks as the mango. Finely slice the green onion into little rounds and toss them in the bowl next.
  2. Next give the fruit and veggies a mix with a wooden spoon and then add in ½ jar of Mango Fruit Spread. Give this another quick mix and then hit it with a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
  3. Before serving, sprinkle with the dried oregano, fresh cilantro and salt and pepper to taste. Give it one final mix and serve. Enjoy!
