Operating in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

We live, work and play in a very unique part of the world that is recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Our plant is located on the banks of the Seguin River at the mouth of Georgian Bay in Parry Sound, Ontario Canada. A small northern Ontario town like Parry Sound offers inspiring surroundings for creating our organic fruit spreads and reminds us everyday why organic agriculture and sustainable choices are so important to our future. Natural beauty and biodiversity abounds with rugged wilderness, inland lakes too numerous to count and wildlife, including black bears like our masot.
Georgian Bay has been drawing people to the area with it's natural beauty and pristine shores for centuries. We want to make sure it remains a part of our heritage for generations to come.

What is a Biosphere Reserve?
Biosphere Reserves are important ecosystems that are internationally recognized by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) where communities are committed to conservation of biodiversity, sustainable development, and logistic support (education, research, monitoring, training). They are nominated by communities within a shared landscape to demonstrate how to achieve sustainable livelihoods, vibrant culture and robust economies based on a healthy environment.

We are proud to support the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve as a charter member. Learn more here http://www.gbbr.ca/
